May 14-18:
This week we have been reviewing our letters and numbers. We will have Olympic Day on Friday May 18th-Please have your student wear their tie dye shirt!
May 7-May 11:
On Monday we had a presentation about Bees!!!! We even got to try their honey!
Friday we have Mothers day breakfast at 7:30 in the cafe. We will be outside most of the day, wear tennis shoes and sunscreen. Please bring a water bottle.

This week we worked on our Mothers Day presents....Shhh!
We have been working on projects that include our theme, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!
In science we continue to observe our caterpillars turn into butterflies.
April 25-27:
This week we will focus on the number 17 and reviewing our letters. Our caterpillars have turned into chrysalis!
Our dramatic play area will change into an icecream shop.
Next week our theme will be Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.
April 16-20:
This week we are learning about Bugs! We have live caterpillars in our room and we have discussed the life cycle. Our letter of the week is letter X.
Next week we will focus on Trasportation.

This week we are learning all about Plants! We will even get to plant some flowers to bring home!

Next week we will learn all about bugs and their lifecycle. Our letter of the week is X.
March 26-March 28:
No school March 30-Good Friday.

This week we learned about the importance of Easter. All of PK will do an egg hunt to celebrate on Wed March 28.
We will read the book God Gave Us Easter.
Next week we will do activities with Pete the Cat!
March 19-23:
This week we are working on the letter W. We are also learning about Jesus and this special time of year. On Monday we made a "He is Risen" craft.
Next week we will review letters and have an Egg Hunt with all of PK on Wednesday. No school Good Friday or Easter Monday!
March 5-9
This week we focused on the letter Z. We worked on a Weather Activity book! During Art time we made a cloud with rainbow fruit loops.
We are working on our fine motor skills by stringing rainbow beads and fruit loops on pipe cleaners and also using tweasers to pick up four leaf clovers and gold coins.
Next week is spring break-No School March 12-16.
When we return from break we will do activities for Spring and Easter. For religion we will talk about why this time of year is so special.
Feb 26-March 2
This week we did activities with Dr. Seuss! We read many Dr. Seuss books and activities. We will make Oobleck on Friday, FUN!! Check out our twitter account to see more!
Next week we will practice the letter Z. Our dramatic play area now has fishing for the month for March.

This week we read Fairy-tales. We worked on retelling of The Three Little Pigs.
Students practiced the letter F in shaving cream and had fun getting messy!
Next week we will focus on the letter B and learn about our 5 Senses!

This week we are learning about the letter L. We will read about Dinos and practice cutting some out of paper.
Next week we will focus on sequencing fairy tales and the letter F.

Our dramatic play area has a Christmas tree students can make ornaments for. Students also can bake cookies!
We continue to work on spelling and writing our names!
Next week we will learn about the Advent wreath and focus on the letter M. We will review the number 0.

Nov 13-17: This week we focused on the letter H and number 9. Students learned about Thanksgiving and made turkeys and Thankful crosses. On our Turkeys we practiced writing our names and we used our fine motor skills to make our crosses.
On Friday in science we will focus on color mixing.
On Monday Nov 20 students will have a feast with all of PK. NO SCHOOL Wed Nov 22-Friday Nov 24.
For the week of Nov 27-Dec 1 students will focus on the letter R and number 10. We will work on opposites and begin winter activities.
Nov 6-10:
This week students worked on letter E and number 8. We did a school wide service project on Wednesday! We talked about less fortunate children and filled shoe boxes full of goodies for them.!
This week we learned about the Ten commandments and did an art project with them!
Next week we will practice the letter H and our theme for the week will be Thanksgiving!!
Oct 23-27: This week students are working on the letter K and number 7. Friday is our Halloween party from 10-11am.

This week we learned the letter N and number 5. We went on a leaf hunt on Monday and on Wednesday we practiced spelling our names using the leaves! In science we are observing things in nature.
Next week we will earn the letter C and number 6. We will graph using candy corn!
October 2-6:
This week we learned about fire safety. On Monday we made a craft to help us remember the number 911 in an emergency. Students used their fine motor skills to crinkle tissue paper for the craft. We practiced the number 4 and letter P throughout the week. On Friday Oct 6 the Fire Department visits school.
Next week we will learn about the number 5 and letter N. In science we will observe leaves and in art we will make leaf people.
September 25-29:
This week we had the petting zoo visit school on Monday!!!! On Wednesday we learned all about the letter A and made an alligator A to hang in the hall. Friday students do not have school.
Next week we will earn the letter P and number 4. Our dramatic play center will turn into a fall camping area!
September 18-22:
This week we are learning the letter T and number 2. We are graphing a goldfish snack, yummy! We have been learning about Noah's Ark.
Next we will learn the Letter A and number 3. On Monday (Sept 25) we will have the petting zoo visit preschool.

We had Grandparents Day on Monday, Thank you to all the wonderful Grandparents for coming! The students loved having you at school.
This week we practiced Letter I, i and number 1.
Next week we will start activities with animals and even graph goldfish treats! We will work on letter T, t and number 2.

Our dramatic play center has changed to a Pet Shop. In our block center we are building animal homes.
Next week we will continue to learn about shapes and make shape monsters, learn the letter I and number 1.
Grandparents day is Monday! Watch for an email this weekend to explain details of the day!

We go to the library every Friday at 10am. Please return books each Friday!

We had a great M/W/F morning in preschool this week! We learned about our centers and practiced rotating.
Students began to work on recognizing their name and we practiced the first letter. We made a "Me Collage" and it will be hung in the hall.
